About

Our Story: Bethel Lutheran started in 1920 under Pastor E. J. Peterson. There were 114 members. Over the years, several Pastors have led Bethel. Most recently, it was led by Pastor Bill Sass. He and his wife Susan moved to Bethel in 1997 and Bill served the congregation faithfully until his death in 2022. Bill was deeply loved. After searching for someone to fill the need for a new Pastor, Steven Teff was found by the NE MN Bishop, Amy Odgren. Steven has been serving since January 1, 2023. Going into the future, it is Steven's hope that Bethel will once again grow to a full church, worshiping together. Our principals have been and always will be founded in the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Bethel's Statement of Purpose: "The Church is a people created by God in Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, called and sent to bear witness to God's creative, redeeming, and sanctifying activity in the world."
